Dr. Victoria Best
After gaining her Bachelor of Science (BSc) and medical degree (MBChB) from Edinburgh University, Victoria completed her initial obstetrics and gynaecology training in London, before changing career pathways to General Practice. She moved from London to Glasgow after marrying her husband Sachin, and completed her GP training, gaining her diploma in obstetrics & gynaecology (DRCOG), and Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) in 2011.
She worked as a GP in Scotland for a couple of years whilst undertaking a postgraduate diploma in paediatrics, before emigrating to Australia where she was admitted as a Fellow to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2013 (FRACGP). Victoria and her husband (Sachin) moved directly to Orange from Scotland, and thoroughly enjoy living and working in the Central West. Since moving to Australia with their two boys, Sachin and Victoria have added a daughter and 2 crazy dogs to the family! With her background in obstetrics and gynaecology, Women’s Health has always been a particular area of interest for Victoria.
She is also passionate about adolescent health, and has completed additional courses in mental health to allow her to provide focussed psychological care to her patients. Victoria thoroughly enjoys working with her patients to improve their mental, physical and psychological health.
